  • Software for automating decision making processes.Klaus' elevator pitch - going from ground to 20th floor with quite a few stop on the way :)
[Ground to 1st floor] Intellix develops and sells software for capturing expertise in order to support or automate decision making processes. Formalizing and centralizing decisions in this manner allows them to be applied consistently and uniformly across an organization. Typical usage scenarios: Online problem solving, troubleshooting and diagnostics. Support less experienced personnel. Product configuration and selection on a web site. Ensuring regulatory compliance throughout an organization. Find på flere… [1st to 5th floor with a few stops on the way :)] A user friendly desktop tool allows non-programmers to build and combine decision nodes. Each decision node contains a means of transforming values from a given set of input factors into one or more output results. The tool provides a variety of way to perform this transformation by supplying several types of decision nodes. Some are good for implementing well-defined rules or mathematical operations whilst others employ Artificial Intelligence (AI) to assist in capturing tacit knowledge and predicting decisions in the face of uncertainty based on past experience.
[5th floor and up] Intellix has a patented AI technology called the Self Optimizing Universal Learner (SOUL). A SOUL decision node is especially powerful when it comes to capturing tacit domain specific knowledge. It is easy for a human expert to define what results a decision may lead to and what factors need to go into that decision. It is also easy for a human expert to provide an initial set of cases where certain combinations of factors lead to certain results. With this in hand SOUL can build a model and then use pattern recognition neural network technology to generate new cases in areas where the model is weak and thus activate the humans passive knowledge. [In the cafeteria on the top floor – talk about the server and integration to backend – multi language ect.] Human experts work with the desktop tool to build, combine and test decision nodes. The product of this work is a file, called an Advisor, which can be published on the Intellix Expertise Server. The server exposes the knowledge in the advisor via a sequence of questions and answers. The dialog can be with a human end-users or a backend system or both. Typically the dialog is initiated by a user entering information in a web site. When this information reaches the advisor the decision process may require more information and new question will be sent to the user. The Expertise Server can be configured to fetch information from backend systems based on the information it already has. This so called “trigger framework” could allow an advisor to make decisions about a customer while only asking for the customer id and fetching all other relevant data from in-house backend systems. The trigger framework often used to perform action based on the results that an advisor arrives at. This is typically entails logging the decision process and starting backend workflow processes.
